Monday lunch sessions no longer running

I am writing to you because at some point in the past you have attended our lunchtime sessions on Mondays or Wednesdays in previous years.

Unfortunately these sessions just aren't getting the attendance that I had hoped for and so the decision has made to stop running the Monday lunchtime session. The Sunday supervised play sessions will continue as per the schedule in the club programme, i.e. weekly until August 18 and then every third Sunday of the month.

My suggestion for those looking for a replacement session with a similar low key, social atmosphere is that you join up with the group that plays in the back room on Thursdays. That group is looked after by Irene Edgar but she is neither a teacher nor a director and so doesn't want to take on the task of organising and running three or four tables every week. I suggest you all get together at one of these sessions and work out as a group the best way to organise moving forward.

It has been most enjoyable hanging out with you all each week and imparting little nuggets of bridge knowledge to you all!
