Lead Tip #4

All too often, leading a short suit can set up the opponent's second suit, so you please take care.

If leading shortage, then the best time to do so, is with the following trumps: Ax(x) or Kxx

If you have a natural or possible trump trick, leading from shortness iscounter productive.  In particular, if you hold 4 cards in trumps eg J10xx, QJ9x or KQ9x then it is best not to lead a singleton or doubleton.
