Fun was had by all at the Rotorua Christmas Tournament on Saturday. Our club had a great turnout supporting this event and we had some fine results. The Home page has been updated so that tournaments in the near future will now appear on the Home page under the 'Looking for a challenge' section. Click in the links and it will take you to NZ Bridge to register for the tournament. Also, the 'Tournament Calendar' has been updated with ALL bridge tournaments through to the end of December 2024. Click on the 'Tournaments' menu on the website and a calendar will appear. Click on any calendar entry to find the link to NZ Bridge to register. Yes, Holiday Bridge will run over December and January. The club is trialing a new initiative for ALL holiday bridge. You do not need to arrange a partner. Mike Newton (or substitute) will be available as a ‘reserve’ (spare player). If two players arrive without prearranged partners, they will play together. Holiday Bridge will be face-to-face at the Bridge Club. Click on the heading above for Holiday Bridge dates.

If you weren't able to make it along to the Chirstmas Party on Saturday 7 December, you missed a fantastic day of food, drink, laughter and even some cards played! I've included a very small selection of photos of the day, mostly of committee members except I just had to include one of Ron and his absolutely stunning outfit. A complete selection of photos will be posted to the website in due course. We have Holiday Bridge starting this week on Monday night, Tuesday afternoon and Friday afternoon and all are welcome! So that you have no reason not to attend, we are this summer trialling having a standby player at the club for all our Holiday Bridge sessions. A fun day was had by all who attend the Tauranga Christmas Party and Prize Giving. Trophies earned throught the year were presented follwed by a yummy lunch and a fun afternoon of bridge. The winners were: 1st North/South Gillian Corbett & Rebecca Osborne, 1st East/West Diana McAlister & Tracey Mancer. Congratulations everyone and Merry Christmas!!!
